AI at Indiana University

At Indiana University, artificial intelligence is a catalyst for advancing the university’s core missions: empowering student success, driving transformative research, and serving the people and economy of Indiana and beyond. Through a coordinated, human‑centered approach, IU is integrating AI across teaching, learning, research, and operations, ensuring these technologies expand opportunity, strengthen discovery, and amplify the university’s impact in a rapidly changing world.

University-wide planning process

Indiana University is developing a university-wide strategy to responsibly integrate artificial intelligence into teaching, learning, and student services, guided by its emerging Human + AI Learning Model and supported by a Lilly Endowment planning grant.

What I’ve learned about using AI is that it’s less a shortcut and more a productivity magnifier. Many people see it primarily as a time-saver, but for me the real value comes from how it helps me get more out of the time I have.
